Creation of ‘SPACE’

This film was originally made for a film class at University of Colorado Boulder in Spring of 2020. The requirements for this project were to record foley sounds and use them in the wrong place. Example, while typing this out my keyboard is making the keyboard noise but instead of using the sounds of keyboard typing, imagine birds chirping. All sounds were recorded by myself, with the exception on the space ship noises. To push this idea further I used it as a way to visualize what the creative process is like for me. Once I have an idea for a song, a film etc., I start seeing and hearing things all around me that further inspire my idea. In this case the sounds around me were indicative of a song that I’d started writing in my head. To check out the full song head over to the music page!
